I am very interested in the subject of people moving into management. I\'m not convinced that we prepare people sufficiently for this major transition. Many companies feel as if they can\'t afford to provide training for new managers or can\'t afford to release them for a few days. The training budget is one of those easiest to cut during hard times but maybe more thought should to be given to the actual training needs and work on the priorities. Why spend money on senior management training when new managers wander into the job with nothing?
